The Choir is based near Taunton and stages annual concerts at Wells Cathedral and King’s College Chapel, Taunton, with the finest nationally and internationally renowned soloists and orchestras, performing innovative and varied programmes of music ranging from medieval through to 21st century.

The CD is expertly conducted by the Choir's musical director, James Sherlock and guest instrumentalists are 17-year old Edward Picton-Turbevill on the organ and award-winning young cellist James Barralet playing the solo part in Sir John Tavener's 'Svyati' for cello and Choir. Based in the City of London, the Choir is named after Haydn’s patrons, the Princes Nicholas and Paul Anton Esterhazy. The music of Haydn is central to the Choir’s repertoire but it also tackles a wide range of styles, from Renaissance polyphony to ambitious contemporary choral music
