We are a group of women singing a cappella four-part harmony music arranged in barbershop style. The style of singing is more 'pop' than classical and the choice of music reflects this, with the repertoire including show-tunes, popular songs from the 1930...  moreWe are a group of women singing a cappella four-part harmony music arranged in barbershop style. The style of singing is more 'pop' than classical and the choice of music reflects this, with the repertoire including show-tunes, popular songs from the 1930s to today, as well as classic barbershop arrangements. There are strong links to musical theatre in that most songs are choreographed, and performing skills are a key element in making a song work. We rehearse every Tuesday, 6:30pm-9:00pm, in central London between Kings Cross and St Paul's. Blue Spirit Vocals ( http://www.bluespiritvocals.co.uk/ ) are a new and exciting youth choir from Bristol formed in January 2010 and already has over 50 members. These amazingly talented youngsters perform beautiful, uplifting music. The repertoire is an eclectic mix of music ranging from folk to musical, traditional and popular in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Their confidence, infectious enthusiasm and passionate singing make them enchanting to watch. Seasonal performances in and around Bristol, include prestigious venues such as the Colston Hall and Bristol Zoo.  less

The chamber choir comprises of some 40 adult mixed voices. SPS are based at the heart of a vibrant City of Leeds where it is one component of the larger Choral Foundation of Leeds Minster. Rehearsals take place on Sunday evenings and singers are most welcome to come along. The Singer's perform concerts at the Minster as well as the wider Leeds area and further afield in Yorkshire, UK and internationally. St Peter's Singers have under taken recent overseas tours to Romania, Mallorca and Brittany France.  less
