The choir performs ordinarily music during Catholic Mass and other forms of choir services in churches and events. The formation of this Catholic youth has agreed to give contribution to the church and the country as young generation through music. In 2014, Manado Catholic Choir had eStablished its junior member, named Manado Catholic Youth Choir (MCYC). The University Chorale is the touring ensemble for the choral department. The ensemble performs a wide spectrum of the fineSt choral literature. The group performs extensively throughout the SouthweSt and will be singing at several venues in Washington D.C. during December of 2013. The group primarily consiSts of vocal music majors, however, there are Singers representing several other academic disciplines. The University Chorale has been under the direction of J. Steven Walker since 1984. Dr. Walker is the Director of Choral Activities and a Linscheid DiStinguished Teaching Professor at EaSt Central University.
