In the past years, Chamber Choir Orfej has received a number of awards, which places them among the more prominent Slovenian Choirs. Orfej has proven its high level of vocal performance in April 2010 at the prestigious Slovene national Choir competition ‘Naša Pesem’ (i. e. ‘Our Song’). The Choir scored 93 points, received the gold award, and the second prize in the category ‘mixed Choirs’.

EnChor began singing together in the fall of 2005. We are an auditioned group of approximately 32 Singers, coming from a broad cross section of the Calgary and area community. EnChor proudly highlights the work of Canadian artists, and includes Canadian content in every concert. An important part of our directive is to collaborate with fellow Calgary artists. We have shared our concerts with Paul Rumbolt and Friends, Players Ensemble, The Calgary Men’s Chorus, the Calgary Renaissance Singers, Foothills Brass, One Accord, Youth EnChor, Corps Bara Dance Theatre, Cum Vino Cantus, UofC Orchestra, Calgary jazz musician Gerry Hebert, and story-teller Jan McLean.  less

A message from the Director: "Christmas 2020 is the first in our 43-year history where we haven’t been able to stage live concerts, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still sing. The composition of members is unique in the international classical music world: all members are from one large family: six siblings between 8 and 21 years of ageand the two parents. Artistic leader: the parents, Zita and Vilmos Tóth, but the children also participate in creating musical conceptions and decisions. The parents have been singing in Choirs since they were children and have participated in numerous competitions, festivals and courses. The children have also sung in Choirs from an early age, usually singing solos. They study singing, musical theory and instrumental music. Our purpose is to promote the miracle of singing and music - that we owe so much - to people. With each passing year we strive to sing more and more beautiful compositions with a higher quality of performance. The Choir presents liturgical music either written in, or translated to, the Hebrew language. In the few years of the Choir's existence Liturgi-Kal is rapidly becoming much more visible on the Israeli music scene due to its emphasis on excellence coupled with the superb choice of musical partners. The Choir has worked with the Israeli Chamber orchestra, the Ensemble Barrocade and has had the honor of hosting some of Israel’s finest young Singers as well as special guests from abroad.  less
