Entre los estrenos realizados por el co...  moreEn agosto de 1995 surge el Coro de Cámara Zahir creado por su actual director Diego Boero con el objetivo principal de estrenar y promover la difusión del repertorio coral de compositores argentinos contemporáneos. Entre los estrenos realizados por el Coro, se destacan: Kyrie de andrés Milá Prats y Ave María de Juan Guerra, presentadas en el Salón Dorado del Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires, durante 2003, año en el que también se estrena el Kyrie de Gastón Sznajderhaus. En 2005, el Coro realiza la primera presentación de la obra en tres movimientos para Coro y orquesta El jardín y el pantano del compositor Juan Carlos Figueiras, en el marco del ciclo Grandes Conciertos que tuvo lugar en el auditorio de la Facultad de Derecho de la UBA. El 24 de abril de 2007, el Coro estrena, en la Catedral de Buenos Aires, el Stabat Mater de Gustavo Fedel para Coro y conjunto de cámara, cuya interpretación ha sido grabada en estudio y editada durante ese mismo año. It was founded more than 30 years ago with David Wordsworth as its Musical Director from 1995 to 2023. Our current classical Musical Director is Matthew Thomas Morgan, and our current jazz Musical Director is Jill Jarman. The group comprises two classical choirs – an auditioned Chamber Choir and a much larger non-auditioned Oratorio Choir; and two jazz choirs – an auditioned mixed Jazz Ensemble and a larger non-auditioned all-female Jazz Choir. It also offers two different singing classes to meet the needs of beginners, intermediate and the more experienced singer. The Addison Singers normally operate on three 10-week terms (the same as the schools) with a concert or recital at the end of each term.
