The poetry of American writer Luci Shaw jumped off the page for Vancouver musician Edward Henderson. Its dazzling imagery is reflected in Henderson's score, commissioned with financial assistance from the Diane Loomer Commissioning Fund for Elektra Women's Choir and premiered at the choir's 2009 Chez Nous: Christmas with Elektra concerts. Under the musical direction of Kevin Fox (UK) and the baton of house conductor Erez Tal, Vocalocity performs mostly original arrangements of a range of cutting-edge rock/pop/jazz music. The Singers, all of whom come from a background in modern a cappella, range in age but are mostly around their 20s-30s. After a fruitful year, including 3 full-house concerts and several festivals, working with leading acapella masters such as Line Groth and Eric Bosio, collaborating with leading arrangers, composers and artists and recording for the upcoming Swingle Singers CD, we are looking forward 2015 with a visit to Aarhus Vocal Festival and creating some new recording and video clips of our own. However it does not exempt the work of works accompanied by instrumental Ensemble, piano, etc. This group's training base is four Singers, two of them music professionals, malleable according to the repertoire, joining more Singers if so required. Being a recent Ensemble, it premiered in the March 2015 concert with the Lenten Concert (Solidarity Concert in favor of Maria Lara) in the Chapel of Covão do Coelho and the Church of Minde, with works by T.L de Victoria, A. Caldara, A. Scarlatti, J.S. Bach, G.
