EFC is a choir of around 75 singers, attracting people from all parts of the South West region. We perform with professional orchestras and soloists, and aim to bring choral music of the highest quality to our audiences. Under the inspired and dynamic musical direction of Nigel Perrin, EFC has become one of the region’s most versatile and highly acclaimed choral groups. We provide a broad range of music for our audiences, covering a great variety of genres and periods; we revisit standard works within the choral repertoire and explore new challenges from the contemporary musical scene. AfterGlow's mission is to perform beautiful choral works of all genres with the highest level of musicianship and emotional meaning. Musical genres performed by the Chorus include Baroque, Classical, Romantic, 20th Century, 21st Century, spirituals, pop, rock, R&B, and jazz. We are an auditioning, non-professional chamber choir, performing a diverse programme of repertoire at regular intervals throughout the year. We draw our membership from the hugely successful EC4 Music, a choir and orchestra that is widely regarded as one of the leading large amateur groups in London, and it is from this platform of success that CCoV takes its lead. EC4 Music recently performed at the Barbican for the fifth time, raising money for the Prince’s Trust and is also very excited to be making its Royal Festival Hall debut in October this year to mark the grand finale of the Lord Mayor's Appeal 2011.
