Most of what the viewers on youtube get to see of us does not effectively capture our interactive and engaging live experience. We hope that this promo clip will give viewers and fans of our music a chance to see Rendezvous in action, and what we have to offer as a professional recording, competing and performing quartet. Rendezvous was formed in 2008 by music majors studying jazz at Humber College in Toronto. Since then, their barbershop/a cappella jazz music has taken them all over the world to perform and compete. They are active members of the barbershop community, especially with heavy involvement in the online community of barbershoppers and multitrackers. Most important of all, they are just 4 young guys who love to sing and have fun, and share music with anyone who will take a moment to listen. The work depicts the revelation to the Virgin Mary by the Angel Gabriel that she will conceive a son to be the saviour of humankind. The Giovanni Consort is a chamber vocal ensemble based in Perth, Western Australia. The group performs a wide range of choral music from medieval to modern times and is renowned for its exquisite musicianship and attention to detail. This video was recorded at their December 2012 concert, "Hodie Christus" in the Dining Hall of St. George's College at the University of Western Australia. The Chorus specializes in the Performance of Negro spirituals and is dedicated to its preservation as well as the Performance of works by African American composers. The CSCC also maintains a liberal helping of standard classical music in its repertoire. Its members come from all walks of life, unified by their mutual love of great music. This award-winning ensemble has performed numerous times on radio, presented its own television “Special” on the statewide educational television network, as well as appearances on local TV stations. This past Christmas, the CSCC’s 2015 Community Celebration of Christmas was broadcast on public television WGTE.
