Although The choir originated and is based in Preston, Lancashire, members come from all over The North West. Individual choir members are involved in a wide range of local community projects and often call upon The whole choir to help drive fundraising events across The region. One Voice Community Choir celebrates diversity and continually sources new material from its multi-cultural roots. The inspired leadership of Musical Director Tyndale Thomas MBE, combined with 14 years of performance experience has produced a stunning sound and versatile choral ensemble. We are open to all singers with no auditions and previous experience of contemporary music is not needed. We work mainly, though not exclusively, from music, some of which is unconventionally notated. Most of our work is a capella and The focus is on ensemble singing. One objective is to expand The contemporary amateur vocal repertoire, which is less developed than The instrumental repertoire. We work with composers and students, commissioning works and showcasing material for use by oThers.  less

With members graduated from Hong Kong traditional schools like Diocesan Boys’ School, Belilios Public School, St. Paul’s Coeducation College, Ying Wa Girls’ School, St. Stephen’s Girls’ College, St. Paul’s College, Wah Yan College Kowloon, and also universities like The Hong Kong University and The Chinese University, The group was immediately invited by The HKSAR government to a celebration performance in early July 2010. The group also presented a standard professional program of sacred music in its first concert “Inspiratio” in August 2010, and a Themed concert, featuring a range of masterpieces of Chinese Choral music,「聲．華」in August 2011, which won critical acclaim from local music conductors, composers and musicians.
