Our collective history began in 1936 when Vladislav Sokolov (who was a a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory) created a Children's choir, which is almost 70 years was a model of Russian choral art throughout the Soviet Union and in many foreign countries ...  moreOur collective history began in 1936 when Vladislav Sokolov (who was a a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory) created a Children's choir, which is almost 70 years was a model of Russian choral art throughout the Soviet Union and in many foreign countries . 2008 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Professor Sokolov, in the anniversary concert attended choir, consisting of pupils of Children's choir. After the speech the former pupils of Children's choir - people of different professions and ages , realized that they all share a love of music and choral singing , decided not to leave, and formed a new team . Our first CD-drive, consisting of 19 works of Russian and foreign classics, Russian folk songs, songs by modern composers, was recorded in 2013. Our choir took part in competitions and festivals in Russia, Austria, Italy, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Ireland, Belgium where repeatedly became the winner.  less

A non-profit organization, they raise funds for local charities through concert, CD and cookbook sales.  

O Concerto de Natal “A Little Jazz Mass” de Bob Chilcott tem como protagonistas o Coro Pactis e os Wave Jazz Ensemble que subiram ao palco do Centro Cultural e de Congressos de Angra do Heroísmo, no dia 20 de dezembro, para mostrar a articulação de dois p...  moreO Concerto de Natal “A Little Jazz Mass” de Bob Chilcott tem como protagonistas o Coro Pactis e os Wave Jazz Ensemble que subiram ao palco do Centro Cultural e de Congressos de Angra do Heroísmo, no dia 20 de dezembro, para mostrar a articulação de dois projetos distintos numa toada jazz em ambiente natalício. Trata-se de uma peça com cinco andamentos, escrita para o coro infantil New Orleans Children, aquando da participação no Crescent City Festival de New Orleans, em 2009. Fazem ainda parte da peça alguns clássicos de Natal como "Zat You Santa Claus", popularizado por Louis Armstrong; "Little Drummer Boy" ou "Silent Night" com arranjos próprios do quinteto. Enquanto o Coro Pactis tem Fátima Gonçalves na direção musical, o Wave Jazz Ensemble integra os músicos Rui Melo, Paulo Cunha, Paulo Borges, Nuno Pinheiro e Antonella Barletta. It is formed by Children and young people from 6 to 25 years old, who are distributed in three groups. their activities are set out for the development of sensibility, intelligence, memory, attention, and, at the same time, contribute to achieve the feeling of working together and mutual help and the sincerity of companionship. Likewise, they begin to know the art and culture world by the music, not only polyphonie music, but also popular and modern music. During their trajectory, the choir has offered several concerts, has participated in competitions and festivals and has done tours abroad: France, Italy, Luxemburg, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Russia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia... the choir is member of the European federation of Youth Choirs.
