Renaissance, 19th century, modern choral music, pop, .... - we like nearly every theme and style. We try to use original languages and Love to engage us in music which is not often heard. We go on stage in self-organized concerts, but perform in smaller occasions, too.  

Vocal Vibes is an ensemble of around 40 singers based in Ringwood, Victoria. We are committed to building community through excellence in a cappella harmony, and we Love to learn. We are committed to building community through excellence in a cappella harmony, and we Love to learn. We rehearse weekly to improve our vocal skills and build lasting friendships in the process. Although we have diverse backgrounds, our members thrive by working together to achieve shared goals. We sing a range of repertoire from jazz standards to 21st-century pop, barbershop to show tunes, but most importantly we sing a cappella. As well as entertaining audiences across the eastern suburbs of Melbourne we compete regularly in barbershop harmony competitions at a national level. You are as likely to hear a Welsh hymn or folk song as an opera chorus, pop hit, spiritual or contemporary Canadian composition. The Orpheus men are all amateur yet deliver a professional engaging performance from memory. The Spinnakerettes reach a new high in 2014. Presenting their best performance to date: The girls were very happy to come home to Portsmouth with a 5th place medal. Hooray!!!

Very much (but not exclusively) in the barbershop stlye. Even though we have only been going a few months, our numbers have been increasing weekly as more and more people are seduced by the magical sound of ringing chords. We aim to be a serious performing chorus in due course. We have had a very successful 2012 and hope for even better in 2013 where we have a whole host of exciting things planned. Stay tuned! We'd very much be interested in meeting/collaborating with other choirs in our area. We are on Facebook so have a little look and maybe come and sing a few baas with us!  less
