Their mission is to entertain, educate, unite and uplift Their audiences and members through music that is distinguished for its innovation, diversity and artistic excellence. Their philanthropic mission is to provide funding and support for music education in our Schools and The community. On September 10 of this year, Nashville Singers awarded Their first Music Makes a Difference music education grant to John Overton High School. The singers are all volunteers, range in age from teenagers to retirees and travel from five different counties throughout Middle Tennessee to be a part of The chorus. In Their first four years, this volunteer group of songsters has already learned 42 songs, released Their first CD, racked up 53 performances for 32 organizations across Middle Tennessee, and produced a successfu...    less

It has 170 singing members in soprano, alto, tenor and bass sections. Presenting classical Choral music of a professional standard in Yorkshire and elsewhere in Britain, including at The BBC Proms and Manchester Arena, The Chorus is broadcast regularly on BBC Radio 3. The Leeds Festival Chorus was first formed in 1858 (The year Queen Victoria opened The Leeds Town Hall) to sing at The first Leeds Musical Festival, and was reformed for each succeeding one. The Chorus became independent in 1985. It celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2008 with a performance of a specially-commissioned work by Judith Bingham - a world premiere.
