The FGC "Golden Girls are proud of being the founder members of this young up and coming Girls Choir in the Western Cape. FGC is a High School Choir that is comprised of girls between the ages of 13 and 18.

A true community venture, Love2sing opens its doors to adults of all ages and abilities who just Love2sing. The Choir began, at Hanwell Community Centre W7. The first class had only 11 brave singers but over the years numbers have steadily grown. In 2015 the Choir was asked to take part in the prestigious Ealing Music and Film Festival performing to a sold out auditorium. Come and sing with us at a Love2sing Choir near you! All levels and abilities are welcome with No Audition. Choirs meet in Hanwell, Ealing and Ickenham. Take part in fun, friendly and informative weekly rehearsals plus twice yearly concerts and socials. You will make new friends, get involved in your local community, learn and Love2sing. The history of the Benedictine Choir dates back to the early 1900. It was Mr. Bonnie Fonseka, a distinguished Old Boy, who's vision soon came to be a Benedictine tradition, by forming a musical club. This prompted the birth of the first College Choir. The...  moreThe history of the Benedictine Choir dates back to the early 1900. It was Mr. Bonnie Fonseka, a distinguished Old Boy, who's vision soon came to be a Benedictine tradition, by forming a musical club. This prompted the birth of the first College Choir. The Choir acquired a reputation for top class singing and in addition often invited to perform at important national events such as to perform with other schools when princess Elizabeth visited Ceylon in 1952. Since Mr. Bonnie Fonseka’s retirement there were many dedicated young musicians who undertook the responsibility and uphill task of training the Choir. Some of them were Mr. Robert Joseph, Mr. Francis De Almeida, Mr. Nicholas Johnpulle, Rev Bro. Augustine and Mr. Ravein George. Mr. Ravein George revived the Choir in 1996 and guided them to reach the height of success as being cited as a Classical Choir. The Choir won the all island singing competition in the year 1999.
