Members of ...  moreThe Virginia Wesleyan Chorale is a small, auditioned group at Virginia Wesleyan College in Norfolk, Virginia. The choir is composed of 16-20 singers from all majors who perform a variety of music, from classical, to folk, to contemporary jazz. Members of the Wesleyan Chorale also perform in the Wesleyan Singers, an open-enrollment ensemble that performs a variety of music while developing vocal technique and musicianship skills.

Water Ruminations is a setting of six poems by the thirteenth-century poet Rumi, in English translations from the Persian by Coleman Barks, for double choir and organ. The poetry sings of literal and spiritual connections between water and sky, a drop of water and human life, flowing water and love, drinking water and its container, the giddiness of spring and rolling seas, and the ocean's gifts and singing. We are a truly trans-generational choir consisting of staff, parents, colleagues, friends and family from across the Formby High School community. At full strength, we have over 80 talented members and we have recently launched a smaller ‘function’ group – the ‘G:Force Executive’ for weddings and private functions. We support the national Sing Up campaign and perform regularly across the local community. This exciting and innovative choir rehearses every Tuesday evening during term time, from 6.30pm til 8.00pm. Join us for fun and laughter every week, plus great gigs, inspirational songs and memorable experiences!
