It was and still is a ...  moreIt was founded in the Holy Week of 1996, as a consequence of the tradition of performing in the church of Brunete (Madrid, Spain) the Responsorios of the Renaissance composer Tomás Luis de Victoria (c. 1548-1611) during that season. It was and still is a chamber Choir especially interested in the polyphony of the Renaissance, and particularly in the composer it takes its name from, although the Choir does also interpret works from every period. Its members’ hard work and joint enthusiasm along all these years, under the direction of Antonio Peces, crystallise in the neat blend of the voices and the sensitivity that its interpretations instill. The group provides experience and a consolidated musicality, while exploring every facet of choral music, as well as the singularity of the great masters’ art. Chorale membership is reserv...  moreThe Drew University Chorale is Drew’s advanced choral ensemble. Usually consisting of 20 to 24 members, the Chorale focuses primarily on chamber Choir repertoire and tackles a wide variety of styles, languages, and techniques. Chorale membership is reserved for students who demonstrate some level of music-reading ability, experience singing in advanced choral ensembles, and/or the potential to thrive in a small, advanced chamber Choir environment. During the audition process, careful attention is given to maintaining artistic balance among the sections of the chorus. In addition to performances throughout the academic year, students in Chorale are expected to remain on campus for an additional week after the conclusion of each spring semester to perform in Baccalaureate and Commencement ceremonies and participate in end-of-year touring activities.  less

The Choir has over the years committed itself to staging concerts and singing quality choral gospel and patriotic songs to win souls for God and instilling patriotism in Ghanaian citizens and other African countries.
