Full fathom five thy father lies; of his bones are coral made; Those are pearls that were his eyes; Nothing of him that doth fade, But doth suffer a sea-change Into something rich and strange. Sea-nymphs hourly ring his knell: Ding-dong. Hark! now I hear them — Ding-dong, bell. onclick="$(this).getParent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less

The melody paints the landscape, written in a minor key, which is then resolved to the major when his sadness finds resolution in this beauty that he experienced. Synaesthesia is incorporated by using specific harmonies and rhythmic patterns to imitate what the composer might imagine the poet saw, and the emotions he felt. This ultimately transforming the piece into a choral musical painting. onclick="$(this).getParent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less

The work, called Poohratorio of course, is due to be published once AA Milne goes into public domain (2031). onclick="$(this).getParent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less
