We sing at Cathedrals across the UK, deputising when the regular Choir is on vacation. The Cavendish Choir was formed in 1994 and has sung at Cathedrals across the UK. Our Musical Director is John Dover MMus and our organist is Jonathan Price FRCO.

We give you the pleasure of enjoying fine Music and knowing you are a part of a Musical community - a team that enriches the life of all of us. We currently have about 50 members. We feature a variety of Music from popular to classical. Our selections are fun and challenging for singers and entertaining and rewarding for audiences. Open rehearsals for potential new members are held in September and January at the beginning of the rehearsal seasons. No formal auditions are held, but we do expect new members to be experienced in four part choral singing, and to have some ability to read along with sheet Music. Founded in New York City in 2008 by Artistic Director Vince Peterson, the organization now encompasses: a roster of professional ensemble singers, a volunteer chorus of 40-50 adults and an annual week-long Summer Institute in Brooklyn for composers and conductors. The culture of the organization marries informality, loving support and joyful curiosity, with the expectation of solid and technical Musicianship, constant learning and openness toward the unexpected.  less
