FACT TO NOTE: The word MYSTI was derived from the word MYSTERIOUS which literally means “Difficult or impossible to understand, explain, or identify”. Its vision is to become the country's pr...  moreKORO ILUSTRADO, a Makati City-based all-male choral ensemble, was formed in October 2007 by a group of choral enthusiasts. It commits to significantly contribute to the nurturance of the country’s choral tradition. Its vision is to become the country's premiere all-male chorale, exemplifying the best of the Filipino: excellence, discipline and a flair for entertainment. Inspired by the global spirit and nationalistic dedication of the great ilustrado men during Spanish colonial times, the choir is slowly building a repertoire that includes the best of local and global all-male choral music. A member of the Madz et al network of choirs, it is composed of men who had extensive choral singing backgrounds through their college, church and community/parish choir experiences. Koro Ilustrado's choirmasters are Edmund Alan "Jong" Piquero and Anna Tabita Abeleda-Piquero.  less
