You are as likely to hear a Welsh hymn or folk song as an opera chorus, pop hit, spiritual or contemporary Canadian composition. The Orpheus men are all amateur yet deliver a professional engaging performance from memory. Each performance guarantees an emotional ride through familiar, new, rousing, humorous and classic repertoire. Orpheus annually tours BC to enrich smaller communities with choral entertainment. Our Choir is made of amateur singers WHO love to make music. The conductor Zafer Gökçer has been conducting the Choir since 2011. we love to sing classical, Turkish pop, Jazz and folk music. Anyone WHO love to sing in a mixed Choir is wellcome to our Choir.

The group consists of musicians from around the South West and we perform at a wide range of venues all over the country. Our repertoire includes traditional choral music as well as contemporary arrangements of popular songs, film scores and Jazz standards. We are available for hire and can provide an atmosphere and presence to meet the needs of any event.

The Choir is conducted by Paul Robinson and rehearses every Wednesday at the Gillingham Golf Club at 8pm. The Choir is currently looking for new members; the ability to read music is not essential, however, it is helpful and can be very useful. The Choir welcomes anyone who has a passion for singing. Like most traditional male voice Choirs we learn all of our pieces from memory and do not use copies. The Choir has a wide-ranging repertoire from West End showstoppers to opera, religious and traditional choral music. The Choir has gained a reputation for doing many concerts for charity and have raised a lot of money over the years for a number of different causes. The Choir has performed twice at the Royal Albert Hall with over one hundred Choirs in the Festival of Brass and Voices for cancer research UK. The Choir has made several tours both at home and abroad and has raised thousands of pounds for charity totaling nearly £3000 in the past year alone  less
