In 2010 it won the ATKV Animato Children's choir Finals and the KKNK "Kanna" prize for best musical production (2013.) During 2014 the SCCC won the "Musica Sacra" Open category of the World Choral Games, in Riga (2014) and all categories of the ATKV Animato Finals (2014), being awarded the prize of "choir of the Competition." It has recorded eight cd's, one dvd; has toured Europe seven times and Talented choristers from several schools in the Garden Route region of South Africa's Western Cape Province are auditioned and rehearse every Friday in the city of George, under the direction of conductor Jan-Erik Swart. They perform a repertoire of up to 50 pieces per year, and perform full-length concerts between 26-33 times per year. From its beginning it has been affiliated with ZAMEK Culture Centre. Experienced and respected pedagogues-musicians look after the musical development of the girls and artistic program. The choir is conducted and creatively inspired by its Artistic Director and Conductor Alicja Szeluga, an educator and choral music aficionado. The Vocal Coach Marzena Michałowska, and accompanying pianist Czesław Łynsza, as well as percussionist Beata Polak complete the musical team. The SKOWRONKI Girls choir also has programs for younger groups. The ensemble is consists of 140 girls aged between 6 and 22. The singers of the choir are secondary school students as well as students from universities of Poznań. The group’s repertoire rediscovers and promotes works of various composers from different periods as well as performs pieces commissioned especially for the choir. It was the official choir of the Masaryk University in Brno between 1999 and 2003. Since then it has continued as a civic association. In 2003 Štěpán Policer took up the artistic leadership of Gaudeamus, since 2007 Dáša Karasová has been leading the choir. The choir has been undoubtedly contributing to the advancement of Brno musical culture by giving concerts and appearing at benefit events annually.
