On its first attempt at ...  moreFormally organized in August 2006, The Ars Cantica Ensemble is a choral group composed of young professionals from different university choirs who want to spread The Word of God through musical talent and commitment to service. On its first attempt at competitions in 2007, The group won Second Runner-Up in The prestigious PAGCOR Chorale Festival and was chosen as one of The top five winners in The Paskong Himig sa Lungsod ng PASIG Chorale Competition. In December 2007, The Ars Cantica Ensemble was featured at The Opening Ceremonies of The Amazing European Union Christmas held at The Podium, Ortigas and was one of The choirs invited to grace The Sing For Me Project of The Department of Social Welfare and Development. In February 2010, Ars Cantica Ensemble emerged as one of The winners in Sa ‘Yo Lamang Chorale Fest, a choral competition sponsored by ABS-CBN and Star Records. The group is formerly known as Chorus Leviticus, from The Word "Frisco" it means San Francisco Del Monte, it is a small town founded by our patron San Pedro Bautista during 1590, The group is comprised of mostly students, out of school youth, young professionals and music enthusiast from The Parish Youth and Music Ministry of Archdiocesan Shrine of Santuario De San Pedro Bautista in Quezon City,which is also known as one of The oldest church in The Philippines and The provincial house of The Franciscans. As our patron saint San Pedro Bautista, a Franciscan missionary, a saint who lived in our community, and who was The first missionary to teach liturgical music to local children and organized church choirs in The Philippines.
