We rehearse in the Toronto Danforth area. The TCS Children’s Choir mission is to encourage and enrich the musical interests of children in Toronto’s east end by providing a community Choir experience in which they can learn, perform, and develop a life-long appreciation for singing. The Choir provides a supportive environment in which singers can develop their musical abilities by learning and performing choral classics, music from a variety of cultures, and music that celebrates the heritage of the City of Toronto.  less

Under the direction of Diana Clark since 2009, Children’s Choir consists of caring young musicians from diverse cultural heritages, ages 9-15 years old. Storytelling, joy of singing, connection and flexibility of performance are the core values of this group. The Choir also loves to work with guest conductors and share with other Choirs. They have recently been guest singers with Vancouver Chamber Choir. We have performed on BBC Radio London, at Wembley Stadium, and recorded an advert at studios where Harry Potter and Shrek were made. We meet on Wednesdays, 4.30-5.30pm in NW3, and there are no auditions. We sing a wide variety of music, including classical, Disney, musical theatre, rock, pop and music from around the world. After a £20 three-week trial (not an audition, just to see if your child enjoys the Choir), the fee is £10 for each remaining week of term (siblings 25% off, discount available if you have concerns about paying).
