This premier female ensemble, were the first Choir in the country to venture into the world of international choral Music, and have been truly Musical ambassadors to Sri Lanka. They are the only Choir to record an international album in 2004 when they were asked to record a single for a Tsunami project where Soul Sounds shared the stage with Cliff Richard, Bill Wyman of the Rolling Stones, Russell Watson (the famed contemporary tenor), Robin and Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees, Steve Winwood, Boy George, Chicago and others. Since then, this Choir has not merely won gold medals at the World Choir Games, but have been the only Choir that has had many concert tours on invitation. We share our love of singing by performing an entertaining selection of Music from a variety of genres. Since our inception, we strive to engage all our audience members, from the Musically sophisticated to first-timers. We enjoy bringing our performance art to the Calgary community. We perform at two major concerts per year as well as various community performances. As a distinctive and dynamic women’s vocal ensemble, we collaborate with local artists to perform unique arrangements of familiar and eclectic repertoire. Blend Vocal Association strives to unite in harmony and share our love of singing by performing a diverse and entertaining selection of Musical styles.
