The ensemble performs masterworks of the choral-orchestral repertoire su...  moreLehigh University Choral Union is a Concert choir comprised of students, faculty, staff and community members and performs with the other ensembles of Lehigh University Choral Arts. The ensemble performs masterworks of the choral-orchestral repertoire such as Beethoven's 9th Symphony and Orff's Carmina Burana, as well as opera choruses, a cappella repertoire, and works specially composed for them. Performances include world-renowned guest soloists and musicians. The ensemble is directed by internationally acclaimed conductor and composer Steven Sametz. Lehigh University Choral Union has performed at New York's Carnegie Hall and has toured internationally in China, Portugal, Hawaii, Italy, Spain, Austria and Hungary. No audition is required but the ability to read music is helpful.  less

Si compone di 40 elementi di età varia molti dei quali provenienti già da esperienze musicali di vario genere e di vario livello. Il suo repertorio spazia tra brani di musica sacra, profana, operistica e di tradizione popolare; Dall’agosto 2009 svolge Concerti, anima messe e cerimonie; partecipa ad eventi di beneficenza, di promozione culturale e di gala privati e non; partecipa a rassegne e festival corali. Organizza ogni anno ad Arsoli la “Rassegna musicale in onore di N.S.di Guadalupe”, la cui prima edizione coincide con il debutto della Corale (Agosto 2009), sempre ad Arsoli, in occasione delle festività natalizie, organizza “A Christmas Carol, note di Natale” un Concerto in collaborazione con il coro giovanile “Allegre Note” di Arsoli. The University Choir is the premier auditioned ensemble of Colorado Christian University. The ensemble focuses on a cappella sacred repertoire but also performs world music. The University Choir is a regular performer at conferences and tours annually.
