The fabulous amazing spectacular Carol Stenson is their long standing director. South Salem took FIRST PLACE at Oregon's State Competition. This was their fourth and final song. This whole competition took place at George Fox University in Newburg Oregon. The South Salem Saxons also took first at their Districts festival in Salem/Keizer Oregon. First Place : South Salem High School 'Saxons" Tied Second Place (alphabetical order) : Canby High School 'Cougars' and Sprague High School 'Olympians' Fourth Place : West Salem High School 'Titans' Fifth Place : Saint Mary's Academy  less

At the beginning, PSM-ITB sang only in campus society and subs...  moreOn February 11th 1962, few ITB students established Paduan Suara Mahasiswa Institut Teknologi Bandung (PSM-ITB or ITB Student Choir) which was the first university-based Choir in Indonesia. At the beginning, PSM-ITB sang only in campus society and subsequently performed in public. However since 1973, it participated in various national Choir competitions and repeatedly won the first prizes. This led PSM-ITB to become one of the most established Choirs in Indonesia. In several occasions, the Choir has been given the chance to perform in events attended by the President of Indonesia. It regularly performs in Concerts, occasionally collaborated with other Choirs and orchestras. In 1968 PSM-ITB organized the 1st ITB Choir Festival (FPS-ITB). Since then the festival is held biannually and becomes the largest national Choir event in term of categories (from children to adult and folklore catagories) and participants.
