Founded in 2003 our musical journey takes us from Jazz to Soul, pop to singer/songwriter. We are not professional singers but each of us has a very musical background and we use every opportunity to further our musical horizon, especially in terms of timbre and dynamics. Strong influences are the scandinavian contemporary choir scene led by Vocal Line, Bobby McFerrin, Take 6 and many more. Enjoy!

My RED BOOTS is based on one of only several poems written by My mother, Jewish Holocaust survivor Rita Hoffman of Blessed memory (1927–2018). Both she and My late father, Josef Hoffman, were Jewish Holocaust Survivors. My mother’s brief memoirs are housed at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC. I have been trying to hear music for My RED BOOTS for decades. It is fitting that My muse cooperated with me when I was seeking a text to set to music for the Rocky Mountain Chamber Choir’s 2024 call for scores, because global anti-Semitism has not been this rampant since the 1930s. During the events of October 7, 2023 in Israel, "Babies were taken from their mother's arms" just as in My mother's poem. Last July, over 100 BIG Sing members flash mobbed the Maldon Tesco Store and the YouTube video has had over 16,000 views, raising money for Cancer Research UK. As well as community events, the BIG Sing have hosted their own sold out shows in Essex and have many more coming up this year! As the BIG Sing grows we are continuing to reach out to more people of all ages and backgrounds.
