Entre los estrenos realizados por el co...  moreEn agosto de 1995 surge el Coro de Cámara Zahir creado por su actual director Diego Boero con el objetivo principal de estrenar y promover la difusión del repertorio coral de compositores argentinos contemporáneos. Entre los estrenos realizados por el coro, se destacan: Kyrie de andrés Milá Prats y Ave María de Juan Guerra, presentadas en el Salón Dorado del Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires, durante 2003, año en el que también se estrena el Kyrie de Gastón Sznajderhaus. En 2005, el coro realiza la primera presentación de la obra en tres movimientos para coro y orquesta El jardín y el pantano del compositor Juan Carlos Figueiras, en el marco del ciclo Grandes Conciertos que tuvo lugar en el auditorio de la Facultad de Derecho de la UBA. El 24 de abril de 2007, el coro estrena, en la Catedral de Buenos Aires, el Stabat Mater de Gustavo Fedel para coro y conjunto de cámara, cuya interpretación ha sido grabada en estudio y editada durante ese mismo año. We have a wide ranging repetoire from sacred a cappella, to patriotic, to classical, to Broadway, to Pop. We put on about fifteen concerts a year. We travel locally and throughout the southeastern United States.

In addition we are frequently asked to sing at local events, weddings and celebrations. The Society was started in 1960, under our founder Gerald Brown, and we are still going strong. We are now led by James Gallagher, who has been working with us since 2009. We invite local young soloists and professionals to perform with us. Our repertoire ranges from 16th Century works to those of living composers and covers both major serious and popular works. Ci dedichiamo allo studio del repertorio corale sacro e profano a cappella e con strumenti ricercandone i diversi stili esecutivi . Solitamente proponiamo concerti con programmi tematici o in forma di spettacolo (la natura, l’acqua, la danza, Maria, I responsori, ecc…) per consentire al pubblico di fruire contemporaneamente della Musica e dei suoi significati evocativi, religiosi, storico-culturali, aggregativi, ecc … Fin dalla nostra fondazione abbiamo svolto un’intensa attività concertistica e culturale promuovendo una costante divulgazione della Musica polifonica attraverso concerti, spettacoli, lezioni-concerto, ecc.. e diversi momenti formativi con maestri di fama internazionale. Il CoroPop di Salerno comincia la sua attività nel 2015 per iniziativa dell’Associazione Astronomia Corale che, nata nel medesimo anno, tiene unito lo stesso gruppo – coristi e maestro – il quale dal 2006 al 2014 ha condotto la meravigliosa esperienza del...  moreIl CoroPop di Salerno comincia la sua attività nel 2015 per iniziativa dell’Associazione Astronomia Corale che, nata nel medesimo anno, tiene unito lo stesso gruppo – coristi e maestro – il quale dal 2006 al 2014 ha condotto la meravigliosa esperienza del Coro Pop dell’Università degli Studi di Salerno, formazione che ha raccolto unanimi consensi sul piano Musicale locale e nazionale. Sin dalla sua fondazione, il coro è diretto dal Maestro Ciro Caravano, noto al pubblico come uno dei cantanti, ma anche produttore, arrangiatore e direttore del gruppo vocale Neri per Caso nonché direttore Musicale del cantante Mario Biondi. Il gruppo esegue brani celebri di Musica leggera italiana ed internazionale, appositamente rivisti e riarrangiati dallo stesso direttore, in chiave “a cappella” in modo da esaltarne l’originalità dei motivi e la ricchezza dell’armonia attraverso nuove chiavi di lettura e un pizzico di ironia, che è poi uno dei tratti distintivi di questa esuberante formazione Musicale. Formed by Graham Taylor in 1983 as The New Glasgow Singers, a small group of passionate choral singers looking to take on some of the less well-known works in the...  moreIn just over 30 years, the City of Glasgow Chorus has undergone a remarkable transformation. Formed by Graham Taylor in 1983 as The New Glasgow Singers, a small group of passionate choral singers looking to take on some of the less well-known works in the choral repertoire, it has grown into an organisation that has around 100 members singing a wide range of Musical genres but still with the core wish to seek out and perform the less familiar pieces. We perform a regular series of concerts each year: the details for the current season can be seen here. The range of Music includes serious classical works, programmes of choral classics, West End Musical pieces and the lighter popular Music included in our annual Christmas Cracker concert. Our full repertoire can be seen in our list of past concerts. Some notable highlights have been Walton’s Belshazzar’s Feast, Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis, Berlioz’s Grande Messe des Morts and Mahler’s Eighth Symphony - the Symphony of a Thousand.  less
