Sweet Adelines International LogoWe are a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, a worldwide organization of women singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop four-part harmony. While our chorus offers educational opportunities to its members, we also serve the Community through shows and other events throughout the Pittsburgh area.

The emphasis always being on tight harmony, even balance and a clear unit sound. The Yakinton Octet is truly a singer's group, consisting of eight friends who work as a democratic group with no professional conductor.

The Chorus incorporates songs and ballads of the American Southwest and other repertoire into its program in a unique way. Costumed as cowboys the boys sing the songs of the saddle and showcase their trick rodeo roping.
