It is made up of James Rose (Founder), Sam Robson, Emily Dankworth, Ben Cox, Martynas Vilpisauskas and Lewis Daniel, all young and talented Musicians from the Guildhall School of Music. Performing live on stage around London with guest singers such as Jacqui Dankworth, VIVE brings rich, diverse harmonies with a fresh, contemporary sound, taking inspiration from the legendary Take 6 and the Real Group! Their Music is mainly original arrangements and compositions and what's more, the focal point is not just pop, fusion, harmony, jazz, spirituals... but a complete synthesis of all of these. They will be performing a set of originals and covers, including original compositions 'Voices', and 'Ezekiel Saw De Wheel' - the latter proclaimed "Genius" by Mervyn Warren! The set was recorded and produced in December of 2010 by Allen Larsen in the CWU Music building concert hall. The poems, by Joanne Gunnerson, were set by composer John Muehleisen. Bounty and Aversion to Carrots were written for the Seattle Choir Opus 7, The third song, RAH!, was commissioned by CWU.
