Founded in 2003 our musical journey takes us from Jazz to soul, pop to singer/songwriter. We are not professional singers but each of us has a very musical background and we use every opportunity to further our musical horizon, especially in terms of timbre and dynamics. Strong influences are the scandinavian contemporary choir scene led by Vocal Line, Bobby McFerrin, Take 6 and many more. Enjoy!

Our day jobs of (from top voice down) a lawyer, a voice teacher, a computer programmer, and an army officer don't exactly bring to mind outrageous laughter and tremendous harmonies, but that's just what Chutzpah! brings to every performance.  less

The Capital Hearings are a mixed a cappella vocal ensemble based in Washington, DC. We perform a wide variety of music including classical favorites, Jazz standards and contemporary pop arrangements.
