Student membership includes students from all disciplines that love to sing and enjoy camaraderie through great music. It is intended to provide a foundation in area of vocal technique while achieving a high standard of excellence in repertoire selected from all periods and musical styles. This ensemble is offered every fall and spring semester.

Our singers come together from a wide range of towns in Eastern and Central Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. Each season we perform choral masterworks with professional soloists and a professional orchestra. We have recently performed: the Mozart Requiem, the Mass in B Minor by J.S. Bach and Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, Carmina Burana, Ola Gjeilo Dark Night of The Soul, and currently rehearsing the Verdi Messa Da Requiem under the artistic leadership of conductor Anne Watson Born. We love making great music together, and we work hard in rehearsals to bring an expressive and thrilling sound to our performances. Maite Rodríguez y está integrado por más de cuarenta cantantes, algunos de ellos músicos profesionales, otros docentes, estudiantes de música o cantantes aficionados, en algunos casos con largas trayectorias en el ambiente coral de nuestro país. Todos, con distintos perfiles y edades, unidos por la pasión hacia la música y el canto coral. Desde el comienzo, el ensamble tiene por objetivo investigar la música coral a capella de los siglos XX y XXI -sacra, profana y popular- de compositores tanto de Latinoamérica como de Europa. El interés estuvo puesto en traer a nuestro medio músicas con planteos compositivos novedosos y arreglos que acercan a los distintos folklores, aportando timbres, ritmos y la fuerza de la tradición propia de cada pueblo.
