This SATB group presents members from across the length and breadth of the island ranging in age from 16 to 26 years. Dynamic, gifted and spirited are some of the words used to describe this group of vocalists and musicians. the JYC was founded by its principal director Gregory Simms, a member of the World Choir Council and National Coordinator for Music with the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission. We perform in concerts, Choral festivals and charity fundraising events throughout the year under the direction of Ian Sexton. We have a broad repertoire ranging from classical to popular music including traditional carols at Christmas time. We are always interested to welcome new members to the choir.
