The Virginia Wesleyan Singers are an open-enrollment ensemble of 30-50 Singers from all majors at Virginia Wesleyan College. No audition is required, and Singers perform a variety of music in all styles while developing vocal technique and musicianship skills.

The University Choir is the premier auditioned ensemble of Colorado Christian University. The ensemble focuses on a cappella sacred repertoire but also performs world music. The University Choir is a regular performer at conferences and tours annually.

In May 2014, a concert entitled: “The CWU Choir...  more"Oft Have I Vowed" (Vijay Singh) is sung by The Central Washington University Chamber Choir (Gary Weidenaar, director) Composer Vijay Singh is a member of the Central Washington University music faculty. In May 2014, a concert entitled: “The CWU Choirs and Friends sing songs of Singh” was presented on the CWU Campus. In that concert, 28 of Singh’s pieces were performed by 6 choirs, including two invited guest high school choirs. Known for compositions such as Johnny Said No, and Medieval Gloria- this concert included those accessible compositions as well as some of the more challenging pieces, like this one. As of 2014, the CWU Chamber Choir also has recorded videos of the music of Gjeilo, Byrd, Gretchaninoff, Monteverdi, Muehleisen, Victoria, and Rautavaara on YouTube. Directed for more than ten years by Michael Bawtree, its repertoire spans the Renaissance to the pres...  moreWith a current membership of around 30 Singers, Glasgow Chamber choir was founded in 1994 and has developed into one of Scotland’s finest amateur choirs. Directed for more than ten years by Michael Bawtree, its repertoire spans the Renaissance to the present day and has included the Scottish premieres of works by James Whitbourn, Hans Gál, Jan Dismas Zelenka, Richard Bush and Judith Bingham. The choir performs regularly in Glasgow and central Scotland, and has toured to France, Holland and Sweden, where it has formed links with other choirs. Recent BBC radio engagements have included William Walton’s Henry V Suite with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Sunday Worship live and Bryan Burnett’s ‘Get it On’ show live on BBC Radio Scotland. The choir features regularly in Raymond Gubbay’s Christmas Festival in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.  less
