The Choir was founded by composer, Franco Prinsloo, with a focus on quality recordings and performances of his own music, as well as a selection of music by other Pretoria based composers. He also conducts the Choir. They have recorded two collections of music by composers: Franco Prinsloo, Zander Fick and Pieter Bezuidenhout, “South African Choral Music Collection Vol. 1 and Vol. 2”. The latest album released in 2019 is "Speak to me", available on streaming platforms world wide. In 2019 a new recording will be released: “Naledi - An African Journey” featuring music of the choral musical with the same name. "Naledi: An African Journey" was commissioned by Lhente-Mari Pitout for the University of Pretoria Youth Choir to celebrate and explore the unique and diverse choral music heritage of South Africa. Newly formed in 2022, the group is currently comprised of a mixed Choir, a men's Choir, and a women's Choir. The mixed Choir meets at the Manchester Rugby Club, and the men's and women's Choirs meet at the Wilmslow Rugby Club. The repertoire consists of a little bit of everything - madrigals, movies, musicals, spirituals, shanties, serious songs, silly songs - everything. All singers are welcome, and there is no audition required. We sing as a team, one step at a time.  less
