The choir aims to bring the people of Tower Hamlets (East London, UK) together to sing in a friendly and informal environment, and to Make a joyful noise in the heart of the east end. There are no auditions, and songs will be taught primarily by ear, so you don’t need to be able to read music. Whether you’re a seasoned performer, or more of the shower-singer type — if you love to sing and you’re in the area, Sing Tower Hamlets is for you. We sing in a range of styles, from pop to gospel to show tunes, and do lots of fun warm-ups to build your confidence and free your voice!  less

Open to beginners or those wishing to improve their technique with industry professionals from the UK. Over 12 weeks students will follow a curriculum tailored to helping each student develop at their own speed in all three areas of the artform. In Singing students will leave voice techniques, explore ensemble singing and perform a variety of repertoire. In acting students will learn how to develop character in scenes and songs, explore the physical journey of a character, improve stage presence and text analysis. In dance students will look at a variety of jazz techniques core to musical theatre dance as well as perform several musical theatre routines.
