The first movement depicts the remarkable story of the captured Africans who were reduced to slaves by European settlers in the American continent, particularly in the Caribbean. The second movement recounts the indepence of Haiti; and the third movement is about the Perseverance of the country which to this day, Haiti is fighting with fury to keep its freedom. “No human being must live on their knees; slavery in all its forms is an affront to the Divine Creator. Much of the music we sing is arranged in the barbershop style. Along with entertaining our local audience KCC competes in the Mid Atlantic District of the Barbershop Harmony Society and is a consistent champion in our Division. KCC also promotes quartet singing as well as a cappella singing among the youth in our region. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings 7pm and are always open for visitors so feel free to visit to find out more and to see if our group is right for you.  less
