We learn our parts with precision, thus allowing us to put aside our sheet music and really enjoy the magic of hearing all the harmonies merged for a fine tuned a cappella sound! A cappella is a vocal tradition as old as music itself, has held a prominent place in many musical genres. Blue Fever focuses on jazz and contemporary pop. Derived from the italian phrase "in the manner of the chapel," a cappella refers to vocal music performed without any instrumental accompaniment. This definition seems simple at first, but a cappella is a complex art form that demands precise intonation, exceptional vocal blending, and often, a high degree of innovation. Hold on, give me a second... I need to relax after this one. This was crazy difficult. Not only was it just difficult note-wise, but the rhythms were ridiculous too. it was loads of fun though! I started working on this in June. I did take July and August off while I was away for the summer, but all in all this is the product of a little less than 4 months of work.
