During the 1990s the Chorale helped re-establish this historic church’s secondary role as a center for culture and community. ADC’s artistic success and benefit to the Cathedral community inspired additional collaborations with other Dallas cultural institutions. In 2001 The Cathedral Chorale became the Arts District Chorale, receiving its non-profit 501(c)(3) status in 2004. Arts District Chorale is now a signature all-volunteer ensemble of 60 gifted amateur and professional vocalists from all walks of life which annually presents four large-scale season events and ten to fifteen smaller events in collaboration with the world-class cultural venues of the downtown Dallas Arts District. Le Festival SAWT (3ème édition - Du 12 au 15 Avril 2017) Le Cantique de Jean Racine est une œuvre pour chœur mixte à 4 voix et orgue (il existe deux orchestrations datées de 1875 et de 1901). Cette œuvre est une vraie réussite pour un jeune compositeur âgé de seulement 19 ans. The forty boys of the choir are educated at Westminster Under School, part of London’s historic Westminster School, established before 1179 as a monastic School of the Benedictine Abbey of St Peter. In 1560 the School was re-founded by Queen Elizabeth I for boys to be “liberally instructed in good books to the greater honour of the state.” Ever since, the School’s history has been intertwined with the momentous state events and political turmoils of the capital. Old Westminsters dominated Parliament for most of the eighteenth century and the output of leading politicians, statesmen and soldiers has continued to this day. The School’s contribution to literature, philosophy and the arts has been immense, from such alumni as Ben Jonson, John Dryden, Henry Purcell and Christopher Wren to A.A. This School offers a unique educational opportunity for children; it stimulates a boy’s spirit of adventure and exploration in the physical surroundings of the School while nurturing the development of the mind and expression in innate musical talent.  

We are a small, friendly chorus of women of all ages. We enjoy entertaining and competing, and have a lot of fun, whilst constantly working on improving our sound. We enjoy entertaining and competing, and have a lot of fun, whilst constantly working on improving our sound. We always welcome visitors at our rehearsals, and are always happy to recruit new members. The chorus is a member of the Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers (LABBS)
