The ensemble consists of approximately 24-32 vocalists selected through a voice pLAcement process and performs traditional/advanced choral literature from all periods. The ensemble consists of approximately 24-32 vocalists selected through a voice pLAcement process and performs traditional/advanced choral literature from all periods. Students who have been active in choral ensembles in High School or college are encouraged to audition for this Choir. Auditions for Chorale can take pLAce at anytime to fill necessary spots in the group. Once students are selected for Chorale, they are members until they choose to leave, are removed, or when they graduate. In addition to its reguLAr concert schedule, the Chorale tours each spring (OrLAndo, ’09; NYC, ’10; AtLAnta, ’11, Boston, ’12, OrLAndo, ’13). It was born thanks to its director, Ludovico (Dodo) Versino, who instilled the love for choral music in High School students all across Rome, which led them all to become friends. It doesn’t have an exact date of birth, because it began as a way to get together, rather than as a formal Choir. They don’t have a uniform, a fixed meeting pLAce, or a specific repertoire genre.
