It focuses mainly on contemporary Icelandic music, commissioning at least one major work annually. Hljómeyki has represented Iceland in Choral competitions and festivals, and has published 5 CD’s with Icelandic music. In recent years it has frequently collaborated with The Iceland Symphony Orchestra. OTher recent projects include Schnittke’s Concerto for Choir and Rachmaninov’s Vespers. Elijah turns more aggressive this time, urging Them to mutilate Themselves before Their god in an effort to gain his attention.
