Members of the Southwest Children’s Chorus range in age from 7 to 14. The Chorus is a Musical performance and education program for children and youth, emphasizing the development of Musical skills and understanding. The mission of the organization is to provide quality Music instruction with the goal of attaining the highest level of artistic excellence in choral Music performance. Through its Music activities, the choir helps to foster the personal and social growth of its members and promotes their sense of self-esteem, accomplishment and pride. The Tour choir has performed across the world in over 35 states in addition to Austria, Canada, Germany, Hungary, Italy and Switzerland. In addition, the choir has performed in every major venue in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and across the state of Texas.  less

Our repertoire embraces operatic and lighter Music alongside classical choral works, with orchestra, from Bach to Bernstein, and a wide range of a cappella repertoire, which we have also toured abroad. Our second CD was released in November 2009. A friendly choir of 60-70 singers, we give four main local concerts a year and enjoy touring. Since 2002, our concert tours have included Lake Garda, Venice, Umbria, Tuscany, Kraków, Amiens and Ghent. In the UK we have performed at the London Coliseum (2006), Ely Cathedral (2007), the Southbank Centre (2010) and Winchester Cathedral (2011).  less
