Director of Choral Activities Stephen Gothold, himself an alumnus, organized The recruiting efforts and The Chorale made its debut performance on Saturday, December 4, 1982 at The Whittier Presbyterian Church - a complete performance of Handel’s Messiah. Since Then, The Chorale has sung over one hundred thirty Concert programs in The SouThern California area. The Chorale performed in Japan in 1994 and at The Hollywood Bowl in 1995 as it joined togeTher with 1,000 singers from America and Japan to sing Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. In 2001, members of The Chorale -- along with Whittier College students, alumni, and members of The Imperial Valley Choral Society -- toured Eastern Europe and performed selections of American hymns, spirituals, and sacred songs. En la...  moreLa Escolanía María Auxiliadora (EMA) es un coro de voces blancas que nace en 1997 en el Colegio María Auxiliadora (Salesianas) de Cádiz por iniciativa de Antonio Hernández Asencio, profesor de música del centro y director musical desde su fundación. En la actualidad sus componentes vienen desde distintos centros escolares, institutos y facultades. En sus ya 18 años de historia la EMA ha participado en multitud de concursos, encuentros y congresos con coros de todo el mundo y ha sido invitada a colaborar en galas y proyectos benéficos. Tuvieron especial relevancia los encuentros nacionales en Guadix (Granada), Toledo, Oviedo y Murcia, así como los congresos internacionales en Granada, Estocolmo, Roma y París. En julio de 2012 realizó una intensa gira de siete conciertos en la región de Aveyron (Francia), en abril de 2013 fue invitada al I Festival Internacional de Coros en Casablanca (Marruecos) y en 2014 al Festival Internacional de Canto Coral en Tánger.
