Since its formation in 1964, the Choir appears annually at the Welsh Proms and has performed with many of the world’s leading conductors, orchestras and soloists including: Sir Colin Davies; Sir Andrew Davies; Tadaaki Otaka; Owain Arwel Hughes; the London Symphony Orchestra; BBC National Orchestra of Wales; the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra; Raphael Wallfisch, Luciano Pavarotti; Dame Kiri Te Kanawa; Felicity Lott and Bryn Terfel. We have also sung for both the Queen and Nelson Mandela. the Choir’s versatility has led to countless recordings and broadcasts on both Radio and Television, most recently on BBC Radio 4. This performance is from the Choir's homecoming concert, March 17, 2011, with the composer conducting.

We are a women's non auditioned Choir. We sing across a wide range of genres from light classical through to pop and rock. We sing in 3-4 parts, and while working hard on our developing sound, we like to have fun!

Each winter and summer, Chris Rowbury gathers a random bunch of singers from in and around Ipswich. there are no auditions and all songs are taught and learnt by ear.
