The World Youth Choir session 2012 was held in Cyprus from August 7th to September 1st, 2012 thanks to The cooperation between The Foundation World Youth Choir and The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Foundation - Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra, supported by The Ministry of culture and education - Cyprus presidency of The European Union (cultural events in 2012). The Choir has a multilingual playlist which extends from Armenian traditional folk songs to modern Armenian or non-Armenian songs. These songs are performed in different ways: - A capella - Accompanied by The piano - Accompanied by The Armenian folk traditional band - Accompanied by a modern contemporary band. Many Armenian musicians from Armenia enrich The Choir's repertoire with Their unique and creative works. The Choir members are composed of university students and secondary classes students in Armenian High Schools, as well as young Armenians in The work force. Byrd's Ave Verum Corpus appeared in his Gradualia, two volumes of liturgical polyphony published in 1605 and 1607. Primarily devoted to use within The major feasts of The church calendar, some of The included items in The 1605 volume do not belong to The main sphere of works. The Ave Verum Corpus is one of These. It is a popular work of Byrd's, utilising The well-known Latin text of The Eucharistic hymn.
