The Vocal section of the Goldberg Ensemble, consisting of about 22 singers coming from various established choirs in Malta, brings together choral enthusiasts to perform primarily baroque choral music in a more exhaustive manner. The musicians too are distinguished performers in their own right who tour Europe extensively, and who are versatile on both modern and baroque instruments. The Ensemble's director, Michael Laus, is the inspiration and motivator of the Goldberg Ensemble, whose harpsichord playing and conducting have been highly acclaimed by the international press. less

Grupo Vocal Olisipo attended several masterclasses led by some of the world leading Vocal Ensembles, such as The King's Singers and the Hilliard Ensemble and was coached in the performance of Baroque music by Jill Feldman.

A "circle dance", this performance from December, 2010 is The Vocal Art Ensemble's interpretation of what it might have looked like when it was performed by the pilgrims who had come to visit the black virgin statue at the monestary.
