The line-up of Rendezvous is: Danny Fong (tenor) - voice major Brodie Cuff (lead) - voice major Andrew Kesler (baritone) - piano major Rob McLaren (bass) - guitar major Since their inception, Rendezvous has been singing strong at barbershop chapter shows, private functions and schools where it is their goal to spread the magic of barbershop singing to a younger audience. Rendezvous has charmed audiences throughout Canada and the United States with their energetic and fun shows, yet the driving force of these four young men is their dedication to musicality. That Choir was formed in the spring of 2008 by Craig Pike and 14 of his actor friends who wanted to create an...  moreNow in its 3rd year, That Choir combines a high level of performance with a deep love of the choral art as one of Toronto’s newest choral groups. That Choir was formed in the spring of 2008 by Craig Pike and 14 of his actor friends who wanted to create and share a music experience together. That Choir now brings together over 25 members with diverse backgrounds in work and study, and a mixture of trained and untrained voices. New Canadian artists are important for That Choir to nurture and have already performed new works by J. Scott Brubacher as well as Reza Jacobs in December 2010. Also in December of 2010, That Choir invited Canadian Theatre Artist Nancy Palk to read Dylan Thomas's " A Child's Christmas in Wales" as part of That Choir Carols - an annual celebration of the Holidays. As That Choir looks forward into 2011, it is becoming well known for its a cappella repertoire of many styles and periods with a strong focus on storytelling.  less

TBC organizes and participates in “Messiah for the City” and in many local community events. TBC’s “Choral Scholars Program offers subsidy and training to singers aged 19 to 24. The score blossomed during a fel...  more“The Red Wheelbarrow,” an innovative environmental/imagist poem I first read as a teenager, struck me as an alluring and joyful means to immerse in a commission by Austin's Inversion Ensemble for their Planet Home project. The score blossomed during a fellowship at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, a pastoral setting that nurtured embracing the poem’s vivid landscape. The piano provides a repeating foundation over which the choir playfully evokes the spare text, using variations of the initial theme throughout. There is a contemplative moment midway, then the pulse resumes, concluding with a gleeful repetition of the last line. "The Red Wheelbarrow is a wonderfully approachable and fun piece of music. The singers of Inversion had a blast working through the rhythmic lilt and subtly beautiful harmonies, so often found in Rich Campbell's music.
