The choir performs songs from pop, musical theatre and film and, alongside our experienced choir director, is run by a professional vocal coach to ensure all members are learning good supported singing at the same time as the songs.

While the majority of the singers are undergraduate music majors, membership is open to all students at the university through an audition process. The group has achieved an impressive reputation of excellence, having been chosen each of the last twenty years to perform at conventions or festivals around the country: the Pennsylvania Music Educators State Conference; the Eastern Division Music Educators National Conference; the Music Educators National Convention; the American Choral Directors Association Pennsylvania State Conference, and the ACDA Eastern Division Convention. The choir is renowned on the international stage as well, representing the US at competitions and festivals around the world. Performing a repertoire ranging from Renaissance polyphony to unique jazz and pop arrangements, the group has been praised for stunning performance, exquisite singing and creating a sound that spans the entire range of vocal colour. Founded in 2003 by ex-choristers of Westminster Abbey, VOCES8 first achieved success in 2005, winning first prize at the International Choral Grand Prix in Gorizia, Italy. Subsequently the group has performed widely in the UK, Europe, the USA, Africa and Asia. VOCES8’s career has developed both in the classical choral scene and the world of a cappella. The International Singers hold a unique status amongst choirs in France by means of our repertoire and composition. Bringing together very nearly 40 mixed voice singers all sharing the same passion, they hail from countries from around the world and representative of 4 continents. The repertoire consists principally of contemporary music with anglo-saxon origins and from the very best of musical theatre as seen in London's West End or on Broadway in New York. The International Singers are beginning to wow the people of Lille and the surrounding areas of Northern France with concerts in public venues as well as at private functions organised by civic bodies as well as associations etc. Musical Objectives The International Singers is a choir structured around anglo-saxon values and traditions. We a...  moreShades of Harmony is a Women's A Cappella chorus based in Williamstown, NJ. We are also a member chorus of Sweet Adelines International. We enjoy sharing our love of singing in 4 part harmony with performances throughout the southern New Jersey area. We also attend and compete in the Sweet Adelines Region 19 convention annually. We welcome women of all ages (teens to seniors) and all vocal ranges to attend a rehearsal and find out what we're all about.
