An Ensemble of nearly 100 auditioned singers from around the tri-state area, NJCS performs under the baton of dynamic Artistic Director and Conductor, Eric Dale Knapp, accompanied by Linda Sweetman-Waters. The New Jersey Choral Society’s repertoire is among the most diverse in the area, each season providing exciting musical opportunities and experiences for both singer and audience member. The NJCS season consists of December holiday concerts, Pops concerts in March, featuring music from Broadway, American standards and jazz, and late spring concerts of major choral masterpieces and classical selections. The New 4tet is a group of four friends, Gemma, Emma, Gary and Noel, who as very experienced choral singers decided to meet once in a while to drink wine, chat, socialise, and do a bit of singing together, just for fun. As these things do however, the ...  moreThe New 4tet is a group of four friends, Gemma, Emma, Gary and Noel, who as very experienced choral singers decided to meet once in a while to drink wine, chat, socialise, and do a bit of singing together, just for fun. As these things do however, the project has started to grow arms and legs, and we became available for the occasional bit of singing in public when we feel like it. Since then our performances have included singing in Glasgow Art Club, and in Edinburgh for the Royal College of Physicians. Based in the west of Scotland, we have all sung together in a prominent Glasgow Choir, but the New 4tet gives us a chance to enjoy the much more intimate sensations of singing one to a part. All four of us have been involved in the music industry to a greater or lesser degree, and we all sing to a very high standard and love performing.
