It is an audition, not-for-profit choir that performs a challenging choral repertoire and produces professional calibre performances. Under the baton of Giovanni Pasini, Qatar Concert choir regularly shares the stage with professional instrumentalists from the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, Cinemoon Ensemble, and the Doha Baroque Ensemble (the latter two members of the Qatar Philharmonic), and professional vocal soloists including Felicitas Fuchs, Stefanie Iranyi, Clint van der Linde and Benjamin Williamson. QCC has fast become the principal choir of its kind, not only in Qatar, but in the Gulf region as a whole.  less

The choir performs every Sunday evening in the Roman Catholic cathedral of St. Colman's, a majestic building situated on a hill in the town famed for being the last port of call for the Titanic. The membership of the choir has grown considerably in the last five years and it now boasts more than 30 voices. The choir is a previous winner at the world famous Cork Choral Festival and has travelled to Vienna, London and Italy to perform at various events. In 2009 the choir was honored to be asked to sing in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican City for the Sunday liturgy. That same year they also performed at Westminster Cathedral. They have been asked back to St. Peter's in July 2013 to perform again. The choir performs frequently both in Pontypridd and overseas, and has visited Poland, Ireland, the USA and Germany. Links have been forged with Liederkranz Oberensingen, a German male choir from Pontypridd's twin town, Nürtingen. The choir also performs regularly at the National Eisteddfod of Wales and takes part in the HTV male choral competition. The choir is currently broadening and improving its repertoire to provide a wide-ranging concert program. The choir is a member of the National Association of choirs, the Welsh Association of Male choirs and the Welsh Amateur Music Federation, and is a past winner of the HTV Male Choral Competition and at the National Eisteddfod of Wales.  less
