You do not need any previous Music experience to be part of this lovely community. Imagine joining a Choir with no audition that offers professionally led rehearsals and a variety of resources to help you improve.  

We are a group of women singing a cappella four-part harmony Music arranged in barbershop style. The style of singing is more 'pop' than classical and the choice of Music reflects this, with the repertoire including show-tunes, popular songs from the 1930...  moreWe are a group of women singing a cappella four-part harmony Music arranged in barbershop style. The style of singing is more 'pop' than classical and the choice of Music reflects this, with the repertoire including show-tunes, popular songs from the 1930s to today, as well as classic barbershop arrangements. There are strong links to Musical theatre in that most songs are choreographed, and performing skills are a key element in making a song work. We rehearse every Tuesday, 6:30pm-9:00pm, in central London between Kings Cross and St Paul's. Our new Musical Director, Julian Collings joined the Choir beginning of 2019. Over the last few years the Choir has enjoyed a growing reputation for its repertoire of outstanding contemporary Music alongside the established classics. TCS latest performances included The Creation of Haydn, Mendelssohn's Elijah, Mass in Blue of Todd, Rossini's Petite Messe solennelle. The Choir also perform a Christmas Concert every year. Overall we perform three main concerts a year. During its performances TCS enjoys the participation of professional soloists and orchestras and ensembles. Phil Culling is our accompanist. With past successes and imaginative programming, TCS is thriving. We are always glad to welcome new singers, regardless of age; especiallly those who enjoy their Music making. We like to rehearse and perform with our sense of humour switched on.  less
